Soliton Systems and M2MBlue collaborate on global data offering

Amsterdam, Netherlands – 20 March 2018 –  Soliton Systems, the lead manufacturer of mobile live streaming solutions for public safety and outside broadcast applications, have announced a partnership with M2MBlue, an European leader in providing tailor made solutions for high volume data transfer over wireless and LTE/4G connections.

Soliton Systems, a Japanese technology company, manufacture solutions to live stream from cameras over multiple 3G or 4G LTE networks as a replacement for satellite services. Utilised  by broadcasters for outside broadcast requirements such as live news or sports, or by public service companies for live mobile surveillance, they have developed the Smart telecaster range of products as an H265 hardware encoder for live streaming using up to six SIM cards. Soliton´s Smart telecaster product works with a range of different cameras that can be placed in moving vehicles such as motorbikes, cars, motorcycles and helicopters, and can live stream at speed, or from a static location such as a news crew, person or a remotely place video surveillance van.

M2MBlue has strategic alliances with mobile telecom companies enabling them to offer a range of fully managed SIM cards that can be deployed with the Smart telecaster range of products. M2MBlue can provide global coverage over different networks simultaneously. Mark Andrews, Sales Director at Soliton System Europe, comments:

The Smart telecaster range of products live streams video over multiple 4G networks simultaneously. To ensure a high level of reliability, even when mobile signal strength is weak or congested, we use different providers.   By utilising all or SIM card needs from M2MBlue, we are able to offer our customers a one-stop-shop on all their live streaming needs with a fully managed and predictable plan, with no nasty billing surprises for data.

Richard van der Vegt, Business Development Manager at M2MBlue commented further:

We are pleased to be working with Soliton with some of their demanding needs for video streaming in critical and demanding environments. Our experience in data movement, that includes LTE/4G, is essential while we work with trusted telecom operators to provide highly prioritised data connections with full resilience. Our customised management platform helps Soliton manage their own customers data needs with a full billing and notification platform.

Mark Andrews continues “It would be a mistake to class a SIM card as a commodity item and purely evaluate it on a price per MB. The criteria, especially for roaming across Europe, also needs to include the resilience and the ability to pick operators based on the strongest signal available at any given time. Also M2MBlue’s management services that they have built around the SIM cards is a first class portal which my resellers and customers can really benefit from. It is proven to provide a highly reliable data communication network. But having said all that, the pricing is also still very compelling!”

Soliton will be offering the 4G services via their resellers for both rental and purchasing of the Smart telecaster products with a pay-as-you-go plan with no fixed contracts on the data. Please contact Soliton if you wish to learn more.
