Amsterdam, Netherlands,  13 June 2018 -  Soliton Systems won the Grand Prize for its Wrapping Box solution in the IT Security category at Interop Tokyo 2018, Japan’s largest ICT exhibition.

Over 500 companies exhibit at Interop Tokyo 2018, showcasing their solutions and introducing new products. Each year, the Best of Show Awards receives around a couple of hundred entries that are being reviewed by a panel of ICT industry experts. This year, Soliton was selected and awarded with the Grand Prize, the highest award a company can achieve, for its ‘Wrapping Box’ solution.

Wrapping Box is part of the Soliton Remote Access portfolio and can be used to start Microsoft Office applications in a tightly controlled manner. If Wrapping Box is used during a remote access session, users can download company Office documents and edit them locally with their Office applications, but without the risk that sensitive information is stored at the remote computer. Documents can only be retrieved from the company servers and cannot be saved to the local drive. This way, organisations to not have to worry about the risks of leaving sensitive information behind.

The panel awarded the Wrapping Box with the Grand Prize, as they see the solution enables remote working without the complexity and cost of server-based computing, specifically in Bring Your Own Device situations. Wrapping Box is cost-effective, comes with a short learning curve and delivers a high level of security while employees exchange information outside the company’s network.

Soliton has patented the Wrapping Box technology in Japan under No. 6104447.
