Amsterdam, Netherlands – 1 November 2016 – Soliton Systems, the lead manufacturer mobile live-video contribution over H.265, and Wowza Media Systems™, the recognized gold standard of cloud based video and audio streaming, have announced a joint integration of complementary technologies for live video capture and IP distribution.
The integration between Soliton and Wowza demonstrates the benefits of joined up and interoperable workflows, thus allowing consumers to buy best of breed technologies with proven integration through standard IP streaming protocols. The joined offering allows production companies and broadcasters to send live video from a remote location via 3G/4G networks, and then ultimately play out to any device around the world.
Soliton’s recent announcement of decoding to a video IP stream of RTMP or RTSP, opens a new possibility of cloud and internet based environments for more efficient media workflows. This is the next generation and alternative of using traditional base-band HD-SDI type streaming.
Soliton’s decoding software, HDView, can connect automatically to the Wowza Streaming Cloud, and this can in turn provide an array of additional services from multi-delivery to encoding, which can be used for OTT, VOD and other IP based multi-device delivery platforms. This is easily delivered securely through the internet. Live recording can be delivered to a multitude of devices with very little delay.
Hiroshi Ochiai, Product Manager at Soliton Systems commented:
As well as live streaming to social media platforms and other IP platforms such as YouTube, we are now pleased to announce a successful integration with the cloud based streaming server provider Wowza.
