Teleoperation Demonstration of a Quadruped Walking Robot

12th October 2024 Tokyo, Japan  Soliton Systems KK, a Japanese technology developer of remote operations and teledriving solutions were pleased to have many visitors at the Special Equipment Exhibition for Counter-Terrorism (SEECAT) ‘24, held from Wednesday, October 9 to Friday, October 11. Thank you very much for attending!

At the event, visitors could view not only our Zao-X and Zao Wearable devices but also how video from other companies' fixed surveillance cameras can be centrally managed using the Zao Cloud video-sharing system.

Additionally, as a new initiative, we presented a comparison between footage from our device series’ core technology, RASCOW, and that of typical video transmission equipment, highlighting the visibility and stability of our communications.

Although explaining the benefits of "communication stability," "high image quality," and "low latency" verbally has its impact, letting visitors try the Zao series devices firsthand provides the quickest path to understanding their strengths. We believe this exhibit offered a more accessible and concise experience of the Zao series’ impressive capabilities.

In the teleoperation section, we also demonstrated a quadrupedal robot in action.

Using a multi-link function that bundles multiple LTE connections, visitors could see the robot controlled remotely via Zao Cloud. The camera installed on the robot transmits video in high quality and with low latency, enabling video transmission from remote and even inaccessible locations.

We had the opportunity to hear from many of our visitors at the exhibition. It was a meaningful three days for us.

Technology is constantly evolving. At this exhibition, we showcased the improved Zao series, and we’ll continue working as a team to support your initiatives with more opportunities in the future.
